Crisis‑to‑Stability Initiative

A new field edition of Crock Pots & Common Sense has been written specifically for first‑contact environments—law enforcement, QRT teams, jail counselors, peer coaches, and anyone who meets people in the hours and days after crisis.

This edition was created to address a gap everyone sees but few have the tools to fill: the space between crisis and care, where too many people quietly slip through the cracks.

The book is finished. The framework is solid. We are now in the rollout phase of a statewide public‑safety partnership designed to stabilize the first 90 days after crisis.

The First 90 Days Bridge Project

This is the flagship program of the Crisis‑to‑Stability Initiative.

It is a plainspoken, slow‑growth, personal‑responsibility tool built to help individuals stay engaged long enough to reach treatment, support, or stability.

It is not therapy.
It is not a program.
It is a handoff tool—something a first responder can place directly into someone’s hands at the exact moment they need direction most.

A Note to First Contact Professionals

You meet people on their worst day. You carry the weight of moments most folks never see.

This tool was built for you—to strengthen the handoff between crisis response and long‑term care.

It gives the individual something they can actually use in the moment, and it gives you a practical way to reinforce the work you’re already doing without adding more to your plate.

A Note to Potential Underwriters

West Virginia already has strong systems in place—QRT teams, recovery networks, treatment providers, and first responders who show up every day.

But there is still a gap.

This initiative strengthens what already works by encouraging early ownership, steady engagement, and simple daily action during the first 90 days after crisis.

Underwriting books or hosting a deployment event is a direct way to support public safety, community recovery, and long‑term stability in your own backyard.

What We’re Building Right Now

  • Statewide promotional materials and video
  • Training videos for first responders, peer coaches, and community partners
  • A short “how to use this book” video
  • A chapter‑by‑chapter coaching series
  • Bulk ordering options for agencies and sponsors

This initiative is designed to be evergreen, scalable, and deployable—even when I’m not in the room.

Why This Initiative Is Personal

I’ve lived on both sides of crisis. I’ve made the calls and answered them. I’ve seen people fall through the cracks not because anyone failed, but because the gap is real and wide. My own life has felt the loss that comes when someone doesn’t make it to the next step.

I don’t bring degrees or credentials to this work—I bring lived experience and a commitment to reverse the flow. This initiative exists because I know the gap firsthand, and I know it can be bridged.

We’re making the opening chapters available so you can see the tone, structure, and purpose behind this tool.

A Final Word

We’re not playing at this.
We’re building something that lasts—something that strengthens the hands of the people doing the hardest work in our state.

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, grab a seat.
If you’ve been doubting, keep your eyes open.

We’re here.
We’re working.
And we’re not going anywhere.

We building the backend delivery system now! More to come.
